Did you know that Florida could become the 38th state to ratify the ERA, putting it over the amount of states needed to become a constitutional amendment? The ERA would enshrine sex equality in the constitution and require that any law that discriminates on the basis of sex must pass the same strict scrutiny constitutional review that is required for laws differentiating between race, religion, and national origin.
